Summary of the City Clerk


  • Appointed by and receives direction and supervision from the City Council in matters related to the Council’s records
  • Under the general supervision of the City Manager
  • Conducts national, state and local elections
  • Maintains all official City records and funds
  • Handles Records Retention Schedules for the City under State regulations 
  • Assists the Treasurer in the supervision of Account Clerk I (PDF) and Account Clerk II (PDF)
  • Acts as Deputy Treasurer in the absence of the Treasurer
