         sHOP WITH a cop
    program underway!

The Fremont Police Department is very excited to start rolling out the 5th Annual Newaygo County “Shop With A Cop” Program. Over the last 4 years, this program has been incredibly successful, and we are very excited to once again plan another event to provide a Happy Holiday for low-income families and their children in Newaygo County.

The 2017 Shop With A Cop Program will take place Thursday, December 14, at Walmart Supercenter.  Shop With A Cop is an experience designed to have police officers spend time with children while socializing, shopping, and at the same time, building positive relationships between the police officers and children of the community.

We would especially like to provide these opportunities to families who are struggling this year and could benefit from assistance with Christmas gifts. We are looking for children between the ages of 4 and 15 years old. If you feel your family would qualify for assistance or know of a family who may, applications have been sent to Newaygo County schools principals or counselors.  Applications also available at Fremont Police Dept.

If you would like to financially support the 2017 Newaygo County Shop With A Cop Program, please make check payable to: Fremont PD – Shop with a Cop and mail to Fremont Police Department, 101 E. Main St., Fremont, MI 49412. This event would not be possible if it weren't for the many Newaygo County businesses & local donors who generously donate to this great cause.  THANK YOU TO ALL OUR DONORS!!!

If you have any questions regarding this program, please feel free to contact the Fremont Police Dept. at (231) 924-2100.
